Ever since I was little, I’ve been obsessed with jewelry. The way it sparkled, told stories, and made people feel—it was pure magic to me.

My name is Katherine now, but I was born Aoi Takahashi in Tokyo, Japan. When I was ten, my family moved to the U.S., and my life took a new shape—just like metal under a jeweler’s torch.

For years, I worked in finance, crunching numbers in a cubicle… but my mind? It was always somewhere else—sketching designs, imagining gemstones, dreaming of the day I’d finally create my own jewelry brand. My desk drawers were filled with trinkets I’d collected over the years, little treasures that whispered, "There’s more to life than spreadsheets."

Then one day, I listened.

KatMojo was born from that leap of faith—from trading calculators for wax molds, and reports for raw gemstones. At first, it was about finding unique solid gold pieces. But as I grew, so did my vision: I wanted to create jewelry that felt like it came straight out of a fairy tale. Whimsical, meaningful, and charged with a little bit of mojo—that special energy that makes you feel unstoppable.

Every piece I design is a talisman, a tiny wearable spell to remind you of your strength, your dreams, and the magic you carry inside. A star to guide you, a butterfly for transformation, a charm for luck—each one holds a story, just waiting to become part of yours.
